Here Comes the Bus - Create an Account & Add Student(s)

Parent & Guardian Setup Guide

Stay connected to your student's bus ride!

Roseville City School District (RCSD) uses the Here Comes the Bus app to help families stay informed about their student's bus transportation.

With Here Comes the Bus, you can view your student's bus location, receive notifications when the bus is approaching, and get updates when your student gets on or off the bus.

Follow the steps below to create your free account and add your student(s).

Step 1: Download the App

1. Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Search for Here Comes the Bus.
3. Tap Get or Install to download the app.
4. Once installed, tap Open.

Step 2: Turn On Notifications

When prompted, tap Allow to receive notifications from Here Comes the Bus.

This will help you stay informed about your student's bus arrival and transportation updates.

Step 3: Create Your Account

On the welcome screen, tap SIGN UP at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4: Enter the District Code

Enter the Roseville City School District code:

30383

Tap Continue.

Step 5: Enter Your Information

Enter the following information to create your parent/guardian account:

• Email Address
• First Name
• Last Name

Check the box to accept the Terms of Use Agreement, then tap Continue.

Tip: Use an email address you check regularly so you don't miss important updates.

Step 6: Create a Password

Create a password for your Here Comes the Bus account.

Your password must:

• Be between 8 and 16 characters long.
• Include at least one uppercase letter (A–Z).
• Include at least one lowercase letter (a–z).
• Include at least one number (0–9).
• Include at least one special character, such as !, @, #, or $.

After you create your password, tap Continue.

Step 7: Verify Your Email Address

Check your email inbox for a message from Here Comes the Bus containing a 4-digit verification code.

1. Open the email and find your verification code.
2. Return to the Here Comes the Bus app.
3. Enter the 4-digit code to verify your email address and complete your account registration.

Didn't receive the email? Check your spam or junk folder.

Step 8: Add Your Student

Now it's time to connect your student to your account!

Enter the following information:

• Student's Last Name
• Student Number (Student ID)

Make sure the information matches your student's school records.

Step 9: Confirm Your Student's Information

After entering your student's information, tap Continue.

Step 10: Finish Setting Up Your Account

Once you've successfully added your student, you'll see a confirmation screen showing your student's first and last name.

From here, you can:

• Tap Complete if you've finished adding students.
• Tap Add Another Student to connect another student who rides an RCSD bus.

If you have more than one student riding an RCSD bus, repeat the process for each student.

You're All Set!

Your Here Comes the Bus account is now ready to use!

You can open the app to view available bus information and receive notifications about your student's bus transportation.

Helpful Reminder: Keep notifications turned on so you don't miss important updates.
